If you’re looking for guaranteed fun in Madrid, Parque Warner is the perfect place! Inspired by Warner Bros. films and characters, the park offers amazing attractions for all ages. Here, we’ll cover how to get there, tickets, main attractions, fun facts, where to eat, and some tips to help you make the most of your visit. Let’s go!
How to Get There
Parque Warner is located in San Martín de la Vega, about 30 km from the city centre. It’s a bit out of the way, but getting there is straightforward:
By Car
Take the A-4 (Autovía de Andalucía), exit at junction 22, and follow the signs. There is plenty of parking, but it’s paid. I recommend booking your spot online in advance to save time.
Public Transport
Take the Cercanías train to Pinto station, then catch the bus directly to the park entrance. Alternatively, bus line 413 connects the park to the surrounding area.
Excursions
Many tour operators in Madrid offer packages that include both entry tickets and return transport.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket office. Buying online is always a good idea to avoid queues and take advantage of discounts. There are different types of tickets available:
- Day tickets, for a full day of fun.
- Annual passes, for those who want to return multiple times throughout the year.
- Special packages, which combine park tickets with other attractions in Madrid.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Parque Warner is in spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is milder and the park is less crowded. Avoid July and August, as it is peak season, and the heat can be intense.
Main Attractions
The park is split into themed zones, each with its own vibe:
- Hollywood Boulevard: The entrance area, giving you that classic Walk of Fame experience.
- Cartoon Village: Pure magic for the kids (and nostalgic adults like me).
- Movie World Studios: Designed like a film set. This is where you’ll find the best live shows and my personal favourite coaster.
- Old West Territory: A Wild West zone home to the best water rides.
- Super Hero World: Meet your favourite heroes and brave the park’s most intense thrill rides.
Some of the must-see attractions include:
- Superman: Features seven inversions, a 55-metre drop, and Europe’s largest vertical loop. Not for the faint-hearted.
- Batman: An intense inverted coaster hitting speeds over 80 km/h.
- Coaster Express: Europe’s tallest and longest wooden coaster. With over 1 km of track and speeds of 95 km/h, it’s surprisingly smooth for a “woodie” and a lot of fun.
- Stunt Fall: My top pick. This boomerang coaster simulates a free fall, reaching nearly 120 km/h with a 65-metre drop. It’ll leave you breathless.
- Batman: Gotham City Escape: The newest addition and seriously intense, featuring high-speed launches and multiple inversions.
- Water Rides: Don’t miss the Cataratas Salvajes and Río Bravo, some of the best water rides I’ve been on and a lifesaver on hot days.
- For Kids: The Looney Tunes area is great for little ones, featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and kid-friendly rides.
- Shows: Make time for the Police Academy Stunt Show and the closing parade where all the characters come out.
Where to Eat
There’s no shortage of food options for different budgets.
- Looney Tunes Area: Best for fast food and sweets for the kids.
- Restaurante Hollywood: Serves international dishes in a cinema-themed setting.
- Gotham City Grill: Your go-to for burgers and quick bites.
- Coyote Diner: Offers a classic American diner vibe with snacks and drinks.
Tips
- Get there early: Maximize your time and beat the morning rush.
- Dress comfortably: It’s a big park, so wear clothes you can move in.
- Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are a must. Avoid loose accessories that might fly off on the big rides.
- Sun protection: Most of the park is outdoors, and the Madrid sun is strong, sunscreen is essential.
- Navigation: Grab a map at the entrance or, even better, download the official app for live queue times and show schedules.
- Fast Pass: If you’re visiting in summer or on a weekend, a Fast Pass is worth the extra cost to skip the longest lines.
Parque Warner guarantees a brilliant day out. With these tips in hand, you’re all set for the adventure. Enjoy!
