National Cheese Fair of Trujillo

Dates: 1 to 4 May 2025
Free entry. Tasting tickets can be purchased at the event. In 2024, €5 got you 6 tasting tokens.

A Feira Nacional do Queijo de Trujillo é um dos eventos mais tradicionais da Espanha dedicados ao queijo. Realizada anualmente desde 1986, a feira acontece na Plaza Mayor de Trujillo, um cenário histórico que recebe dezenas de produtores de toda a Espanha e da Península Ibérica. O evento destaca queijos com Denominação de Origem Protegida (DOP) da região, como Torta del Casar, Queijo da Serena, Queijo Ibores e Queijo de Acehúche.

The National Cheese Fair of Trujillo is one of Spain’s most established cheese events. Held annually since 1986, it takes place in the historic Plaza Mayor of Trujillo, bringing together dozens of producers from across Spain and the Iberian Peninsula. The event shines a spotlight on cheeses with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) from the region, including Torta del Casar, La Serena, Ibores and Acehúche cheeses.

FIQAB – International Cheese Fair of Albacete

Arzúa Cheese Festival

Salón de Gourmets is Europe’s largest trade fair for high-end food and drink, and one of the most prestigious worldwide. While not exclusively dedicated to cheese, it hosts some of the industry’s most respected competitions and features a wide range of artisan cheese producers from across Spain.

The Fromago Cheese Experience is held every two years in Zamora, bringing together producers from across the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. The last edition took place in 2024, and the next is scheduled for 2026, but it’s such an exceptional event that it certainly earns a place on this list. During the fair, the streets of Zamora are transformed into a large open-air food market, with stalls, tastings and cultural activities throughout the city.

The programme features pairings, workshops and talks led by industry experts, alongside cheese competitions and awards. A wide variety of cheeses with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) are showcased, celebrating both traditional craftsmanship and market innovation. The fair also welcomes international producers, fostering an exchange of techniques and flavours.
